Psychotherapy
For me, psychotherapy is a journey of discovery, often of looking at things that don't want to be seen, of commitment and immersion in healing.
Central to psychotherapy is the relationship between the therapist and the client. It is essential that the client feels comfortable with their chosen therapist and the therapist will endeavour to listen and think about the needs of their client.
Psychotherapy is a safe space where one can explore and express things which are ordinarily very difficult, but very much in need of being expressed. My training and experience tells me that it is the releasing of these thoughts and feelings that enables the process of healing. Most importantly, I understand, that people just need to feel heard.
Psychotherapy may not be for everyone, but I truly believe that if a person chooses to embark on this journey, then very powerful and profound internal changes will be experienced.
